Oštrc is the peak of alpine appearance in the center of the Samobor hills. It is well visible from afar and is recognizable by the steep slopes on both sides. The top part is not cover with forest, and it is characterized by large slopes, so it offers wide horizons. On the south side of the peak is the 15 m high Flinka rock which serves as an alpine training ground. On the saddle below the top is the mountain lodge Željezničar.
